This decadent and healthy Dark Chocolate Fondue recipe makes a perfect treat for 2 on Valentine's Day or a date night in. I am including a many chocolate fondue dipping ideas as well as instructions for how to make this recipe feed a crowd.
4ozGreen & Black’s dark chocolate (85% or 70%)broken into pieces or coarsely chopped
½cupcoconut cream
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1-2tablespoonsflavoured liqueur (like Grand Marnier, Kaluah, Frangelico or Chambord)
Fondue Dipping Ideas
Fresh fruit (strawberries, grapes, pineapple chunks, apple slices), dried fruit, fresh coconut chunks, cubed bread or pastries, pretzels, bacon strips
Prevent your screen from going dark
Instructions
On top of a double boiler melt the dark chocolate. Whisk until completely smooth.
Now whisk in the coconut cream. At first it will look like the chocolate is seizing, but just keep whisking until everything is smooth and combined.
Finally stir in the vanilla extract and optional flavoured liqueur.
Transfer to a fondue pot and enjoy dipping foods of choice.
Notes
This recipes serves 2, if the fondue is the main event. If it is intended as dessert only, you can half the recipe or refrigerate any leftovers. It reheats well for another time or can be used as a spread or topping.To serve a crowd double or triple the recipe.
