Well, hey there! I know it's been a while and I have really missed you all.
As this year is coming to a close, I want to take some time to wish you a VERY HAPPY + EXCITING YEAR 2014. And I also feel like you deserve an explanation for my absence in the last 2 months.
I would say it's all my fault - but not quite. The reason for me disappearing from the blogging radar has been this little bump:
(The bump is only just starting to slightly show now and luckily I don't feel the wild kicking, yet!)
So yes, Konrad and I are expecting to grow our family to 3 members in early July!
In the beginning the news of this pregnancy had us quite in shock. It was totally unplanned and unexpected! But it didn't take long for Konrad and I to get used to the idea and be excited for a mini-me or mini-him. Konrad is hoping for a baby boy, while I feel I'd be much better with a little girl - after growing up with 3 sisters, that's all I know 🙂 In the end however, it really doesn't matter and, like any parent, we just want a happy, healthy baby.
Soon after the first shock we (or I rather) got hit with another one - in form of pretty much every pregnancy symptom (or side effect ?) in the book. Mainly nausea, morning sickness any time of day and exhaustion. My love for food completely died, as all the things I usually couldn't get enough of (coffee, chocolate) made and still make me sick. Even my usual sweet tooth has disappeared for now. You can see how keeping up a food blog (which means making, taking and editing pictures of food) just wasn't possible.
But I am hanging in there and I hope you are with me. I am at the beginning of the second trimester and gaining some energy and appetite back. My hopes are high that in the New Year I'll be back to a regular posting routine.
I definitely can't wait to share delicious treats and healthier sweets recipes with you again. And now there might even be an occasional pregnancy (and later baby) update!

AAAH!!! Congratulations! That is amazing. I'm so happy for you! I'm sure you'll be great with a kid, no matter whether it's a boy or girl. 🙂
And it's looking cute already! Woohoo. You've got yourself a cutie already! 😀
Regina
Thank you sooo much Erin!!! We should be able to find out the gender in just 3 weeks. And I definitely want to, because in case of a boy I will have to start reading books like "How to raise up boys" ASAP 😀
Olena@iFOODreal

Regina

Congratulations! From the pregant women at work I can tell it's not much fun at first, so it's totally understandable that you can't face blogging at the moment.

Jacquee @ I Sugar Coat It!
OK, so I've been awaiting this post! 😉 Congratulations once again to you both! I'm not equipped to give any unsolicited advice, other than, hang in there. I hope the symptoms ease up soon. Happy New Year! Exciting times ahead...
Regina
Thank you again Jacquee! At least the crappy days have started to take turns with good days. So I definitely have hope 😉 And we sure are excited for everything that 2014 is going to bring us. A very Happy New Year to you and K as well!
