If you happen to run out of almond milk and don't have time to run to the store, or if you only need a little bit, you will be very happy to learn how actually very easy it is to make almond milk at home with the use of some almond butter.
The last time I wanted to make my almond flour cookies, I realized that I had no almond milk in the house. Luckily, I had almond butter and remembered this easy trick.
With a traditional homemade almond milk recipe soaking almonds in water beforehand is required. Then, they is blended in a blender with cold filtered water until buttery and smooth. Next, the liquid is strained (through a sieve or nut milk bag) and seasoned to taste with vanilla, salt, or sweeteners as desired.
This almond butter milk recipe is a little easier than that because rather than having to blend whole almonds together, you start with almond butter and blend that with with a cup of water before flavoring it with your desired seasonings. The result is low-effort homemade almond milk without preservatives, thickeners, or gums that you can use in whatever recipes you would traditionally use almond milk in.

This milk would be wonderful as a base for chia pudding or overnight oats for a spiced and heartwarming breakfast.
Storage
Homemade almond butter can be stored in an airtight container such as a mason jar with a lid. I recommend that you use it within 3 to 4 days so that it has the freshest quality. If the mixture separates in the fridge, simply blend it in the blender again before enjoying it.
