About Zip Top
Rebecca Finell created the company Zip Top in 2017 with the mission to provide a useful food storage option while eliminating the need for single-use plastic bag or storage containers.
Instead of being made from plastic, Zip Top products, which range from dishes and cups to a variety of storage bags, are made in the USA with food grade silicone while being BPA-free, as well as lead, PVC, & phthalates free. As a result, they are green and plastic free, and the perfect reusable food containers.
The reusable silicone containers are wonderful choices for every person trying to be a little greener in their homes. However, they also fit the bill for those desiring products that are useful and work well. Zip Top containers can stand up, which allows for easy filling for storage.
For easy cleaning, you can also place them in the dishwasher so that you can reuse them repeatedly into the future. I personally love the fact that I don’t need to search for a matching lid when I pack food in them for storage or for lunches.
These items are wonderful for taking dry snacks on the road, but liquids are only meant to be stored upright in the fridge or freezer - and not for traveling as the containers are not leak-proof.

Available Shapes & Sizes
The Zip Top bags, which are made in the USA, are perfect for work & school lunches. The 24 oz size is perfect for replacing your usual sandwich bag, while the 4 oz size holds small snacks from trail mix to carrot sticks and more. Simply zip the soft zippers shut and store. (Unfortunately, after many weeks of packing my daughter's school snack in it, one day it just didn't return home anymore. I hope someone else is making good use of it now, while I order a replacement.)
The Zip Top dish containers are amazing for food storage of leftovers (like curries, tomato sauce, watermelon bits or diced carrots) or organizing dry goods in your pantry. You can even use them to store food prep prior to cooking. We even use it for taking along small toys while traveling.
The dish container is also great for storing and reheating individual meals, which you can then eat straight from the container thanks to the wide opening.
The dish comes in three sizes: 16 oz, 24 oz, and 32 oz. If you have a set of them, they can be neatly stacked inside of each other for space-saving storage.
The Zip Top cups are perfect for storing liquids in the fridge or freezer. Thanks to the wide bottom, the cups are sturdy to stand up on their own. And the pointy corners on top make it so that pouring out the contents again can be done easily and precisely. We use it mostly for sauces and berries.
The cup comes in 4 sizes: 8, 9, 16, and 24 ounces. These containers can also be neatly stacked.
There is also a cute baby container that is perfect for packing kid's snacks. The cute food storage cups fit perfectly into babies' and kids' hands.
They come in animal designs of bear (teal), pig (lavender), dog (gray), cat (peach) and hold 4 ounces each. They are available individually or as a set of four.
And finally there is also an amazing set designed specifically for storing pumped breastmilk. The breastmilk silicone bags are washable and reusable, just like all the other Zip Top designs.
I wish this would have been around in my nursing days, as I still remember very clearly the large amount of (quite expensive) little plastic baggies we went through.
Each breastmilk bag holds 6 oz. You can get them in a set of 2 or a set of 6 which includes a tray for upright storage of the bags.
You can get the best value by getting Zip Top containers in this full set of 8 containers. You can save around $20 in this set compared to buying these 8 items individually.
The set includes the 2 bag sizes, 3 dish sizes, and 3 cup sizes. I have this set in the teal colour and absolutely love it.
All of Zip Top's food storage containers comprise food grade platinum silicone, which is the highest grade of silicone and is suitable for microwaving, freezing, and putting in the dishwasher. Thus, it will minimize the need for multiple dishes while being a safe place to store, reheat, and eat your food from. You will also eliminate the need for plastic bags and containers.
If you have ever heard of the silicone pinch test, this type of silicone is the kind that doesn't turn white at the pinch point. It is of the highest quality and purity.
Beyond their eco-friendliness, health for the human body, and usefulness, Zip Top’s products are also beautiful to look at. They come in colours such as peach, teal, gray, white, and lavender.

I have a whole set in teal, which matches all of my other turquoise and light blue kitchen items beautifully.

- made from the highest quality platinum silicone

- great for travel & home organization
· Although Zip Top does not advertise its products as leak-proof, I still wish it was possible to take liquids on the go in Zip Top containers. However, they are perfectly fine to store leftover soup and other liquids in the fridge with the container standing upright and zip shut.
· Dust, hairs, and crumbs easily stick to the Zip Top bags which can't simply be wiped off with a towel. As a result, I usually make sure I give them a quick rinse before filling if the bags have been standing on a shelf for a while.
