Who said popsicles are only for children? Definitely not me. These wonderfully luscious strawberries and cream popsicles are for adult taste buds only (although there is a child-friendly version as well).
Think of a delicious strawberry milkshake meets an orangesicle and uniting in perfect harmony. An adult orangesicle that is - since the citrus kick in these homemade strawberry popsicles comes from the addition of Grand Marnier (an orange liqueur).
Ingredients & Substitutions
Can you believe that there are actually only 3 ingredients needed to whip up this amazing strawberry creamsicle recipe?
- Strawberries
- Grand Marnier - any other orange liquor or orange juice can be replace
- Whipped Topping - or use heavy whipping cream or coconut cream

Instructions
Prep the strawberries by washing, hulling, and quartering them. Optionally you can already macerate them with the Grand Marnier or orange juice for 2 hours.
Place strawberries, Grand Marnier (orange juice) and whipped topping or (coconut) cream in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
Pour the blended creamsicle mixture into popsicle molds and insert popsicle sticks. Freeze for about 24 hours.
Run molds under hot water before attempting to remove.
Storage
The strawberry cream popsicles can be stored frozen inside the mold until you are ready to enjoy them. Or you can unmold them, and place in a freezer bag or container and store in the freezer that way.
Random Questions
To ensure creamy popsicles, it's essential to incorporate ingredients that add richness and creaminess, such as heavy cream, condensed milk, or yogurt. These components help prevent the formation of large ice crystals, resulting in a smoother texture.
To prevent popsicles from becoming overly hard, it's crucial to balance the ingredients properly. Including a sufficient amount of sugar or other sweeteners can help maintain a softer texture. Additionally, adding a small amount of alcohol, such as vodka or rum, can help keep the popsicles from freezing too solidly because the freezing point of the alcohol is lower than that of water
Various materials can be used for popsicle molds, including silicone, plastic, or even paper cups. Silicone molds are flexible and easy to remove, while plastic molds are sturdy and can come in various shapes and sizes. Paper cups can be a simple and cost-effective alternative, especially for one-time use.
The freezing time for alcoholic popsicles can vary depending on factors such as the alcohol content, the temperature of the freezer, and the size of the popsicles. Typically, it may take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours or overnight for alcoholic popsicles to freeze thoroughly.
